Flown FDC with a cachet honoring John Glenn's historic Mercury flight, carried to the Mir space station as part of the Soyuz TM-30 mission, signed in blue ballpoint by crew members Sergei Zalyotin and Aleksandr Kaleri. The cover is postmarked on February 20, 1962, the launch date of the Friendship 7 spacecraft, and then onboard Mir at the start and end of the mission. Reverse signed and flight-certified by Kaleri, who writes: "Flown on board Soyuz TM-30/MIR." The cover is affixed to an 8.5 x 11 display sheet with descriptive text. In fine condition. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Florian Noller, which reads, in part: "TM-30 has been the last manned MIR mission and Alexander Kaleri—who personally carried your cover—has been the last man on MIR."
