Nine different pins and items from Al Smith's political campaigns, measuring between 3/4″ and 1 1/4″, including a "For Governor, Alfred E. Smith" pin," three different "For President" pins, a "Smith and Robinson" textual pin from his 1928 presidential campaign with Joseph Taylor Robinson, a portrait stud, an "Al. Smith" enameled pin, an "Al" enameled hat stud, and a brown metal hat (lacking its pin). In overall very good to fine condition, with staining and cracking to the surface of one "For President" pin. Smith was well-known for wearing a brown derby hat, which became one of the defining images of his electoral campaign.
