Second President of Egypt (born 1918) from 1956 until his death in 1970. Along with Muhammad Naguib, he led the Egyptian Revolution of 1952, which removed King Farouk I and heralded a new period of industrialization in Egypt. Matte-finish 6.75 x 9.25 portrait of Gamal Abdel Nasser in his military uniform, signed in the lower border in fountain pen with added date, "29-9-54." Affixed to the original 9.5 x 13.25 studio mount. In very good to fine condition, with heavy creasing to the corners of the mount; the signed photo itself is clean and fine.
