Description

Jewish-Hungarian author (1905-1983) best known for the anti-Stalinist novel Darkness at Noon. TLS signed “A. Koestler,” one page, 6.25 x 8, personal letterhead, February 3, 1979. Letter to "Reif," in full: "Thank you for your letters of January 28th and 30th. I have telephoned Anthony Gornall and he is going to contact you and Scherz about the essay volume. Regarding the title, I quite like 'Rebellion in a Vacuum.' Should I have a better idea, I'll let you know. Regarding the autobiography, Anthony Gornall is quite willing to contact Molden, if you ask him to do so." In fine condition, with two file holes to the left side.
