Description

Renowned American golfer (1902-1971) remembered for his 1930 'grand slam' victories in the Masters Tournament, US Open, US Amateur, and British Amateur. TLS signed “Bob Jones,” one page, 6.5 x 8.75, personal letterhead, March 28, 1969. Letter to John Mebane, editor of the Antiques Journal, in full: "Thank you for sending me copy of the March issue of the 'Antiques Journal.' I found much interest in the Currier & Ives piece. You may be interested to know that I have four copies of the Williamson print, all signed by the artist. I believe he only signed six of the limited and numbered issue of one hundred." In very good to fine condition, with two areas of surface paper loss to the upper right.
