TLS, one page, 7.25 x 10.5, personal letterhead, June 18, 1948. Letter to Kenneth Browne in Maine, in part: "Mrs. Kennedy and I are very grateful for your letter and your kind thought of us at this time." In fine condition, with light edge toning, and staple holes to the upper left corner. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope. Kennedy's daughter, Kathleen 'Kick' Kennedy, had been killed in a plane crash on May 13, 1948, and her father was the only member of the Kennedy family to attend her funeral.
