Official letter to Cuban President Federico Laredo Brú, in part: "We have received the Letter which You addressed to Us…in which You acquaint Us that, being desirous of manifesting in a special manner Your interest in the solemnity of Our Coronation and that of Our beloved Consort, You have made choice of His Excellency General Don Carlos Garcia Velez, to be Your Special Representative for the purpose of attending the ceremonies held on this occasion…We think it due to General Velez, to assure You that in the discharge of the Mission thus entrusted to him, his conduct has been such as to merit Our entire approbation and esteem and has been in full accordance with our earnest desire for the maintenance and still further improvement of the relations of friendship and good understanding which so happily subsist between Our Realm and the Republic of Cuba." Signed at the conclusion by King George. In very good to fine condition, with light toning and staining, and a central horizontal fold.
