TLS signed “Cary,” one page, 7.75 x 10, personal letterhead, March 1, 1957. Letter to 20th Century Fox producer Buddy Adler, in full: "This is sufficient cloth, dear Buddy to make a shirt, or so the man said. Sorry it took so long; it arrived only a moment ago. Alas, not knowing quite how you wanted it made—whether button down collar—long tail or no tail, I dared not despoil it." The letter concludes, "Happy and warm thoughts, Buddy," with Grant filling in Adler's first name in his own hand. In fine condition, with staple holes to the upper left corner. Accompanied by Adler's retained carbon copy of his typed response, thanking Grant for "the material that I so admired."
