TLS, one page, 7.25 x 10, no date but circa 1956. Letter to 20th Century Fox producer Buddy Adler, in part: "I would like very much to sit down with you and have a heart to heart talk about the differences that seem to exist between us over what is good or bad for my career at Fox. Unfortunately I am completely tied up at MGM on 'The Opposite Sex' until about the 17th of April, but I will call your office immediately thereafter…Meanwhile I wanted to write so you would be aware that I am very upset over the fact that I felt I had to turn down 'The Last Wagon' but, by the same token, I really feel strongly that the part would not be right for me. I do hope that after we have talked you will understand my point of view as the last thing I want is to cause any ill feeling between the studio and myself." In fine condition.
