Fillmore East program for a pair of John Mayall concerts on July 11-12, 1969, which also features a two-page advertisement and ticket order form for the Woodstock Music & Art Fair set to occur a month later in Wallkill, New York. The program, 24 pages, 5.5 x 8.5, also promotes performances by the Preservation Hall Jazz Band and Spooky Tooth, and features advertisements for a "Tuesday Tanglewood Trends" series show on August 12th, with "The Who" as special guest stars, the Atlantic City Pop Festival, and the First Annual Rutgers Jazz Festival. In fine condition. With The Who having just finished an American tour in June and the August 17th date of Woodstock cutting into the middle of their planned British tour, the band were initially reluctant to commit to the planned New York festival. When The Who finally agreed to perform (after much convincing), they used this Tanglewood concert as a warm-up for their now legendary performance at Woodstock.
