Description

Two items: an official color 8 x 10 NASA lithograph of William C. McCool in his blue flight suit, signed and inscribed in black felt tip, "To Jon—Reach for the stars! Willie McCool, STS-107"; and a launch day cover for STS-45, postmarked at Kennedy Space Center on March 24, 1992, signed and inscribed in black ballpoint, "To Luppo—best wishes! Rick Husband, 17 Feb 96." In overall very good to fine condition, with heavy horizontal crease to the lithograph which passes over McCool's chin. Pilot McCool and Commander Husband were tragically killed in the Space Shuttle Columbia's in-flight break up during reentry on February 1, 2003.
