Uncommon grouping of items from the second inauguration of Harry S. Truman as President of the United States on January 20, 1949, including: a pair of pin-back ribbons, both 2 x 5, with badges identifying the bearer as part of the "Parade," and the red ribbon of each printed with gold text; a pin-back ribbon, 2 x 6.5, with short blue "Vice Chairman" front ribbon, a goldtone medallion, and longer patriotic back ribbon suspended from badge issued to a member of the "Inaugural Committee"; a gilt bronze medallion made by Carl Paul Jennewein, 2″ in diameter, with front showing an embossed profile of Truman, and the reverse a raised figure of Liberty holding a laurel branch, with group of people at left, inscribed: "Harry S. Truman, Inaugurated, President of the United States, January 20, 1949; and an unused matchbook, with front showing images of Truman and Vice President Alben W. Barkley between text: "The Inaugural Dinner, The Presidential Electors." In overall fine condition.
