Accompanied by a letter of provenance from the daughter of the original recipient, which reads, in part: "In the early 1980s (believed 1983) Paul McCartney frequently travelled on the train from Ashford (Kent) to London from his home in Peasmarsh. He travelled first class and was most often alone in the compartment. My father was a ticket inspector on these trains and frequently stopped and chatted with Paul, eventually asking him for an autograph for me."
