Army officer (1896-1970) who headed the Manhattan Project and oversaw the construction of the Pentagon. Fountain pen signature, "L. R. Groves, Maj. Gen. USA,” on an off-white 3.5 x 2.5 card. In fine condition. Accompanied by a letter from George Senator Richard Russell to Groves, dated June 28, 1958, expressing thanks in regard to his position "on the Atomic Transfer bill."
