(Walt Disney Studios, 1954) Original concept drawing of Amos Mouse hauling luggage over an outline of North America, accomplished in pencil by artist Jim Fletcher on an off-white 8.25 x 8.25 card, bearing a replica of Walt Disney's signature at the bottom. Affixed to a black 8.75 x 9 mount, signed and inscribed on the reverse in pencil, "To Tom, from Jim Fletcher, 1954." In fine condition. Fletcher, a graduate of the Chicago Institute of Art who began working at Disney in the 1950s, sketched this as an aircraft insignia for a friend who entered the Navy and served aboard an aircraft carrier. Fletcher went on to have multiple stints of employment at Disney, in addition to Filmation, Hanna-Barbera, and other notable comic and animation studios.
