Secretariat and Citation win the Kentucky Derby en route to the Triple Crown

Uncommon pair of official programs for the 1948 and 1973 Kentucky Derby horse races held at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky on May 1, 1948 and May 5, 1973. The earlier program, 4 x 9, 12 pages, features the lineups for the nine slated races held during the event's 74th running, with the day's seventh race listing favorite and eventual Derby champion Citation and jockey Eddie Arcaro. The 1973 program, 4 x 9, 20 pages, features the lineups for the 10 slated races held during the event's 99th running, with the day's ninth race listing eventual Triple Crown champion Secretariat and jockey Ron Turcotte. In overall fine condition, with pencil notations to inside of 1948 program.
