Description

TLS signed “John H. Glenn, Jr.,” one page, 8 x 10, Project Mercury letterhead, May 18, 1961. Letter to Mr. and Mrs. Ken Browne in Arizona, referencing Alan Shepard's Freedom 7 flight of two weeks earlier, during which Shepard became the first American in space. In part: "May 5 was indeed a very exciting day and we hope to have many successful similar days in the near future." In fine condition, with some light edge creasing.
