Description

Uncommon Republic of Texas 20 dollar 'redback' note, 7.25 x 3.25, No. 5-41P, dated October 13, 1839, signed along the bottom by James H. Starr and Mirabeau B. Lamar. The note features engraved images of a Native American aiming his bow to left, Columbia and a Native American resting by a shield with emblazoned Lone Star to upper center, and to left a martial Columbia treads on a prostrate figure. In very good to fine condition, with expected cancellation cuts.
