Harry Carey, Sr.'s screen-worn suit from his role as Daniel Howitt in the 1941 Paramount drama The Shepherd of the Hills, which was John Wayne's first Technicolor film. The navy blue suit jacket features four polished dome-shaped buttons on the front for closure, and is lined in black satin with a Western Costume Co. tag sewn in the back, annotated in ink: "3 pc., Name: Harry Carey, Chest: 40." The matching navy blue pants have a Western Costume Co. label sewn into the waistband, annotated in ink with fellow actor Robert Taylor's name, a common discrepancy in men's suits from the Western Costume Co. In fine condition.
