(Republic, 1950) Original color 27 x 41 one sheet movie poster for the Republic Pictures release of the 1950 swashbuckling adventure film The Avengers, directed by John H. Auer and starring John Carroll, Fernando Lamas, and Adele Mara. The poster features tremendous artwork of two brawny and bare-chested men with drawn swords below an amorous embrace with bold yellow text to the right: "A Great Rex Beach Adventure!" Below the large film title are images of men riding horses away from burning buildings, a man in an underwater duel with a shark, and the film's production credits. Lower right corner is numbered: "38886, 49/635." In very good to fine condition, with tack holes to the corners, and some tears and fold splits.
