Production-made vintage matte-finish 19.5 x 29.5 photo of Ava Gardner as Lillie Langtry from the 1972 film The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean, signed and inscribed after production in black felt tip, "For Robert Shelton, with all good wishes, Ava Gardner,” and signed on a slip applied at the bottom by the director, "John Huston." Based on the shape and texture, the Huston-signed slip is evidently a trimming from the edge of the oval photograph. Displayed in an ornate 23 x 34 gilt frame, which has a repaired crack and some chipping to the lower right, and damage to the bow-shaped ornament at the top. The photograph itself is in fine condition, with a few light creases near Gardner's inscription. Robert Shelton's Old Tucson Studios Collection
