American suffragist and peace activist (1859-1947) who was one of the leading forces behind the adoption of the Nineteenth Amendment in 1920, ensuring women the right to vote. AQS on a light green 6.25 x 7.75 album page, written in green fountain pen, "Women now vote in 27 nations on equal terms with men. Carrie Chapman Catt, June 12, 1924." Lower portion bears an affixed image of Catt. In very good to fine condition, with some light toning, and overall wrinkling from three unrelated signatures glued to the reverse.
