Four items signed by the Supreme Court justice, including: a vintage matte-finish 8 x 10 portrait of Brennan by Ackad of Washington, signed and inscribed in the lower border in fountain pen; a fountain pen signature and inscription on a 4.5 x 3.5 Supreme Court card; a TLS on Supreme Court letterhead, November 9, 1956, apologizing for a delayed response; and a TLS on Supreme Court letterhead, August 21, 1987, in part: "I'm happy to report that the result at Mayo was most satisfactory and that I'm back at work in my Chambers." In overall very good to fine condition, with light edge rippling and small corner creases to the photo, and some creasing and staple holes to the letters. Accompanied by three original mailing envelopes.
