TLS, one page, 8.5 x 10.5, personal letterhead, October 6, 1935. Letter to "Mr. Parker," in part: "Thanks for your copies of Stage. I have read it for a long time now, even when it was housed under the Guild's roof. But suggestions? I can't think of any. The makeup and content of the magazine depends, of course, on the kind of circulation you are trying to reach…One thing: all of your writers—even those who are serious in other fields—seem to get flippant as soon as an assignment comes their way from Stage. Why is that? Personally, I'd like to see a good serious article on any phase of our theatre. If only I had the time I'd essay one myself. But my head is full of plays and plans concerning them." In fine condition, with light toning from prior display and small piece of tape to the lower blank area. Accompanied by a small unsigned press photo.
