In part: "We acknowledge to have borrowed and received from Mr. Gilbert clerke…the summe of one thousand pounds Scots money, which we promise and oblige to repay to him." Signed at the head by King Charles II. Nicely double-matted and framed with an engraved portrait to an overall size of 19.75 x 15.5. In fine condition.
