Description

TLS signed “LBJ,” one page, 7 x 8.75, personal letterhead, August 25, 1970. Letter to Dorothy Nichols, in full: "Thank you for thinking of me in Canada and letting me know I wasn't missing too much. We are missing you though and always do…so we're happy you haven't forgotten us or the Hill Country." In fine condition. Dorothy Jackson Nichols was one of Johnson's first employees when he was first elected to congress. Nichols remained as Johnson's secretary through his presidency and was even included in his will.
