Two items relating to the “Texas Welcome Dinner” of President John F. Kennedy to be held at the Municipal Auditorium in Austin, Texas, on November 22, 1963, including: a 4 x 3.5 gold ticket to the dinner, no. D3198, preserved in a screw-down holder; and a 7 x 9.75 invitation to the dinner, which was scheduled to occur at 7:30 PM. In overall very good to fine condition, with intersecting folds, stains, and two edge tears to the invitation, and light soiling to the ticket. Scheduled to occur on the night of Kennedy's assassination, this dinner would never take place.
