Two items signed by Jones: a glossy 8 x 10 photo of the author posing at a fireplace, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, "Mr. & Mrs. Ken Browne, Best Wishes, James Jones," with a typed notation on the reverse indicating that it was received in 1957; and a TLS, one onionskin page, 8.25 x 9.5, May 24, 1974, in part: "I have spent a fair amount of time in Arizona myself—many years ago I had a house trailer which I pulled with a jeep, and with this rig travelled all over the West, spending a number of winters in Tucson and environs. So I know the kind of country you have out there and I envy you." In overall very good to fine condition, with creasing to the photo, primarily in the upper left corner, and surface impressions from typed notations on the reverse. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope for the letter.
