Description

Word War II-era mailing envelope with "Allied Force Headquarters" on the flap, addressed in type to Mrs. Dwight D. Eisenhower at Wardman Park in Washington, DC, 8.25 x 3.75, signed with his censorship signature on the left side, "Censored by Dwight D. Eisenhower, Lieut. General, U.S. Army, Kindness Col. McCarthy." A pencil annotation on the flap dates the envelope to January 26, 1943. In fine condition. Encapsulated in a PSA/DNA authentication holder and accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA.
