Exceptional vintage matte-finish 7.5 x 9.5 bust-length portrait of Pershing in his four-star military uniform, signed and inscribed in fountain pen to the daughter of journalist Richard Harding Davis, "To Little Miss Hope Harding Davis, with affectionate good wishes, John J. Pershing.” Framed to a slightly larger size. In fine condition, with a tack hole to the top border, and some wear to the frame.
