Description

Handwritten letter signed "Billy Evans," one page, 7.25 x 10.5, personal letterhead, December 29, no year. Letter to John Drohan, a reporter and baseball writer for the Boston Traveler, in part: "I had with great interest—mixed with some belly laughs—the clipping enclosed. Swell of you to say so many nice things about a reformed umpire. In my book you remain 'tops.' I have many pleasant memories of Boston and particularly John Droham [sic]. You have always been one of my best boosters—hence most helpful in shaping my career. I'm keenly appreciative. You can tell Mr. Number One that you should get a commission on all New England students and that I said so." In fine condition.
