Personal check, 8.25 x 3, filled out in type and signed by Finley, "Charles O. Finley," payable to Equitable of Iowa for $1,134.25, April 30, 1964. In fine condition. Roughly four-and-a-half months after signing this check, Finley, then owner of the Kansas City Athletics, signed another, far heftier, check when he paid the Beatles $150,000 to play a special one-off concert at the Municipal Stadium on September 17, 1964. The fee was considered a show business record for a one-night stand appearance.
