National League uniform player’s contract in which Pie Traynor agrees to render "skilled services during the playing season of 1922, at a rate of $500.00 per month" for the Pittsburgh Pirates. Signed at the conclusion in pencil by Pie Traynor, and countersigned in fountain pen by Pittsburgh owner Barney Dreyfuss. In very good to fine condition, with partial edge separations to folds and minor paper loss to the last page. After playing just 17 games in 1920 and 7 games in 1921, Traynor became the Pirates' regular third baseman in 1922, hitting .282 with 81 runs batted in. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA.
