Description

Partly-printed contract, signed twice “Charles Dillon Stengel,” two pages on two adjoining sheets, 8.5 x 11, December 10, 1952. American League uniform manager’s contract in which Casey Stengel agrees to render “skilled service as such in connection with all baseball activities of the Club during the years 1953 and 1954,” for the New York Yankees, for an annual salary of $75,000. Signed at the beginning and at the conclusion in green fountain pen by Stengel, who adds his address both times, and countersigned at the conclusion by Yankees General Manager George Weiss.
