Description

Contract, signed “Harold H. Reese,” four pages on two adjoining sheets, 8.5 x 11, December 4, 1957. National League uniform player’s contract in which Pee Wee Reese agrees to render "skilled services as a baseball player during the year 1958" for the "Brooklyn National League Baseball Club," for a salary of $36,000. Signed at the conclusion in fountain pen by Reese and countersigned by Dodgers General Manager Buzzie Bavasi. In fine condition. The Dodgers had announced their move to Los Angeles only two months earlier, and were still operating under the "Brooklyn" bill at the time Reese signed this contract. He stayed on with the Dodgers as a coach in 1959, earning a second World Series ring. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA.
