Description

German field marshal (1849-1945) who became one of the German Empire's most prominent military commanders during World War I. Matte-finish 4.25 x 6 photo of Mackensen on horseback with several lines of handwriting inherent to the image, signed below in thick fountain pen, "Mackensen." In fine condition, with a crease to the lower left corner, and a rusty paperclip impression to the top edge. Accompanied by a 1939 letter bearing a pre-printed Mackensen signature.
