Wonderful World War II-dated vintage matte-finish 10.25 x 12.5 portrait of Dempsey in his US Coast Guard dress uniform by Pach Bros., signed and inscribed in fountain pen, "To a great fellow, my friend Bill Canning, with every good wish, Always, Jack Dempsey, 3/15/44.” Framed to an overall size of 11 x 13.5. In very good to fine condition, with light creasing, and light silvering to the image, heaviest in the inscription area.
