American stage and film actor (1915-1935) who is best known for his role of Huckleberry Finn in 1930's Tom Sawyer and in 1931's Huckleberry Finn. Durkin died in a car crash at the age of 19 while driving home from a hunting trip with actor Jackie Coogan. Rare vintage glossy 8 x 10 photo of the tragic child actor, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, "To Eddie, Best wishes, Junior Durkin.” In very good condition, with overall creasing, including two creases which pass over Durkin's nose. Durkin is exceptionally rare, especially in signed photos—this being the first we have ever offered.
