Tilbury, in full: "Thank you a lot for yours of the 15th, enclosing me the clipping from the New York Times of Saturday, August 14, 1943. That is most interesting. I tried my best to live up to that statement." Double-matted and framed to an overall size of 12 x 15. The original mailing envelope and a photocopy of the newspaper clipping, headlined "Truman Says Era of Comforts Will Rise Out of Arts of War," are affixed to the frame's backing. In fine condition.
