Description

Pseudonym of Iva Toguri d'Aquino (1916-2006), she made propaganda broadcasts attempting to demoralize the Allied troops in the East during WWII. She was sentenced to 10 years in jail and a $10,000 fine for treason, but was pardoned by President Gerald Ford in 1977 after serving her sentence. ALS signed “Iva T,” one page, 4 x 5, January 25, 1992. Letter inside a greeting card, in part: "Due to a terrible mix-up I failed to send several people Holiday greetings. I manage to stay afloat—time marches on, I try to keep the pace, much slower, believe me." In fine condition. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA, as well as the original mailing envelope addressed in her own hand.
