Description

King of Prussia during the Napoleonic wars (1770-1840) who ruled from 1797 until his death. Partly-printed DS in German, signed “Friedrich Wilhelm,” one page, 8.5 x 13.5, April 6, 1835. Decree bestowing upon Major Ernst Friedrich von Natzmer the Iron Cross, 2nd Class. Signed at the conclusion by the king. Red wax seal remains affixed to lower left panel. In very good condition, with soiling, trimmed edges, splitting along folds, and seal-related staining. Natzmer was Major of the 3rd battalion, 9th Landwehr Regiment.
