German rocket scientist (1914-2018) who joined NASA after being brought to the United States in 1953 as part of Operation Paperclip; he is credited with the first complete design of the Lunar Roving Vehicle. Three color 8.5 x 11 laserprint photos, each signed in black ink or ballpoint by Georg von Tiesenhausen. The images include: a hangar storing the various stages for a Saturn rocket; the 13 Saturn rockets used by NASA for Apollo flights 4, 6, 8-17, and Skylab 1; and the Lunar Roving Vehicle used on the surface of the moon during Apollo missions 15-17.
