Doolittle," one page, 7.25 x 10.5, May 20, 1981, personal letterhead, addressed to Ken Browne, in part: "In answer to your questions: We thoroughly enjoyed our visit in Phoenix and environs. Senator Barry Goldwater was at the Air Force Association Ball, in Phoenix, and we had a chance to talk with him. He is a truly fine citizen. Fifty-one of the original eighty who flew on the first Tokyo Raid are still alive and thirty-one of these attended the last reunion"; and a vintage matte-finish 8 x 10 portrait of Doolittle wearing his military uniform, signed and inscribed in black ink, "To Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Browne, With sincere best wishes, J. H. Doolittle." In overall fine condition, with light rippling to the top edge of the photo. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope for the letter.
