TLS signed “Margaret H. Thatcher,” one page, 7.5 x 9.5, House of Commons letterhead, September 13, 1961. Letter to Miss V. E. Watson, in part: "I have written Mr. Kenneth Thompson, who is Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Education, asking him to deal himself with the case concerning Miss Brett. It is quite clear that it is no good dealing with this matter through the Essex Education Authority, as they are already deeply involved. I am personally very sorry that Miss Brett did not go straight to a Solicitor, as I think she would have got much better treatment if she had." In fine condition, with intersecting folds.
