Very early letter from Prince Edward VII to his departing Osborne House teacher

Prince of Wales and first British monarch of the House of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, Edward's reign, from 1901 to 1910, was named the Edwardian era (1841-1910). Sought-after ALS signed “Albert Edward,” one page, 4 x 6.25, no date. Letter to Mr. Paton, in full: "I feel very sorry that you are going away from here to Scotland, I will miss you very much at Osborne, and I will allways remember how very kind you have been to me. Excuse my writing. I remain your very affect. pupil." In very good condition, with light show-through from old tape repairs to separated folds.
