Description

Archive of material relating to the 1960s pop vocal trio The Lettermen, originating from the personal collection of their former manager Jess Rand. The collection is dated between 1966 and 1986, and consists of a variety of signed documents and over 60 vintage live and behind-the-scenes photos, ranging in size from 2.25 x 2.75 to 11 x 14.

Signed items include: three ALSs from founding member Tony Butala; a set of three music contracts signed by Butala, Jim Pike, and Bob Engemann, each dating to June 1, 1966; two manager contracts for Rand, dated July 22, 1970, signed three times each by Butala and Jim Pike; two Conference of Personal Managers contracts from 1976 and 1980, both signed at the conclusion by Butala; a contract signed by Gary Alan Pike from 1968; and a contract signed by Jim and Gary Alan Pike from 1968.

Also included is a tour itinerary for 1982, copiously annotated with venues and dates for stops in America, Mexico, France, and Singapore; a DS signed by Enrico Banducci from 1961; as well as two letter openers, some newspaper clippings, contract copies, and several The Lettermen business cards belonging to Rand. In overall fine condition.
