Soviet military commander (1902-1960) who served as Chief Marshal of the Artillery in the Soviet Armed Forces. He was killed in an explosion at Baikonur Cosmodrome during the eponymous Nedelin catastrophe, when a prototype of the Soviet ICBM R-16 exploded while being prepared for a test. Manuscript DS in Cyrillic, one page, 8.25 x 11.75, 1950. Untranslated military attestation of the Engineer-Lieutenant-Colonel Pavel Yaremnik, who was serving as the head of the Central Weaponry Base of the Main Artillery Headquarters. Signed on the reverse in ink by Nedelin, who signs on the first line. In very good to fine condition, with wear and chipping to the right edge.
