He is best known for his photo portraits of the good and great of the day, including Marlene Dietrich, Princess Grace of Monaco, Princess Diana, Elizabeth Taylor and others. More than 100 of his photographs are housed in the National Portrait Gallery in London. This photograph was taken by Lord Snowden, shortly after the birth of his son, David.
