Scarce official color 8 x 10 NASA lithograph of McCandless posing with a model of an Apollo command/service module in a formal half-length pose, signed in black felt tip. In fine condition, with a couple of small scuffs. A member of Astronaut Group 5, McCandless served as a mission control capsule communicator (CAPCOM) on Apollo 11 during the first lunar moonwalk—years later he etched his own name into the history books when he performed the first untethered free flight during the STS-41-B mission.
