Prague-born writer and composer (1884-1968) who was an associate and confidant of Franz Kafka and mentor to Franz Werfel. ALS, one page, 5.5 x 8.75, stamped personal letterhead, September 19, 1947. Letter to Dr. Mayer, in part (translated): "You have on the book page of the 'Palestine Post' from 12. IX. Two articles on Kafka and Kafka interpretation. I believe that your readers will be interested in this, as well as my opinion on this question, which is so closely associated with my name. And that's why I wrote an enclosed article." In fine condition, with two file holes to the left side.
